Every wedding season we help our brides strategically plan their services in a safe & timely manner for their big day.

Here’s what I had done for mine, when, and why I planned it this way.

2 WEEKS BEFORE:
• Dermaplaning Treatment
ℹ️ If my skin purges at all, it’s usually fully resolved within 2 weeks, so this felt like a safe timeframe to get the best results from my treatment.

1 WEEK BEFORE:
• Brow Lamination
• Lash Lift + Hybrid Tint
• Extended Bikini Wax
• Full Leg Wax
• Underarm Wax
ℹ️ Adverse reactions are rare, but for special events I generally recommend allowing about a week beforehand just to be safe.

2 DAYS BEFORE:
• Gel Overlay Manicure
• Shellac Pedicure
ℹ️ This way my nails were fresh with very little time for me to chip them 😆

THE DAY OF:
I of course had my hair & makeup done by @gpkhair & @artistry.by.abigail
ℹ️ I always recommend doing a trial beforehand for both. If you’re unhappy with the trial, it gives you time to make adjustments or find another artist.
For me, these are all services I regularly have done, so I’m very familiar with the results and how my skin reacts. If you’re thinking of trying something new before a special event, I’d highly recommend doing a trial run well in advance so you know how your skin reacts and what timing works best for you.

The French manicure; plain & boring, or classic & timeless?

NGL, I love how the semi-opaque base with the skinny French elongated my nail beds (I used to be a nail biter as a kid so my nail beds are kinda short).

I told myself I wasn’t going to be basic and do French for my wedding nails but I was wrong — there’s nothing basic about this. It’s delicate, feminine, and flattering.

And yes, you know I did my toes to match 💅🏼💒
